~ How it Works ~
The Lynden Burial Society is a 501-c3 nonprofit
organization registered in the state of Washington. We are governed by a
Constitution and By-Laws and the society is presently governed by a Board
of Directors elected by the general membership, who serve
three year terms. The Board oversees funeral contract negotiations
and the financial operations of the organization. They also are
responsible for the general ongoing operations of the organization.
The Board calls meetings as needed throughout the year. In addition,
there is the 'Annual Membership Meeting' which is held at a public location,
after various forms of publicity are employed, inviting all members to
Members of the Lynden Burial Society share
in the costs of fellow member's funerals. Members receive periodic
mailings informing them of the seven (7)
most recent members to have passed away and they agree to pay a small
remittance to share in the costs of their funerals.
As a matter of history, it averages 2-3 mailings per year.
It's that simple! Very low cost, efficient and best of all, a
rewarding experience for you with the knowledge that you have helped,
lifted up, and 'bore the burden' for a fellow member in
their very special time of need.
By joining the Lynden Burial Society, you enjoy the peace of mind
knowing that you share in other members time of need and if needed, others will share in your family's emotional and financial needs.
